📍 Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Jake Harle is the owner of XtraFresh Carpet Care in Rotherham. He has been cleaning carpets, upholstery, mattresses, leather and hard floors since 2023, and carries out carpet repairs too. Jake shares practical advice based on the problems he comes across in homes and businesses across South Yorkshire.
About Jake
Jake owns and runs XtraFresh Carpet Care. He does the cleaning himself, so when you book, it is Jake who turns up, looks at the job and talks you through what he can do.
He started XtraFresh in 2023. Since then he has worked in homes, rented properties and businesses across Rotherham and the surrounding towns and villages.
What he writes on this blog comes from that work: real jobs, stubborn stains, carpet and upholstery problems, the methods he uses and the lessons he has learned along the way.
You can read more about the business on our About XtraFresh page.
Advice based on real cleaning jobs
Jake's articles are based, wherever possible, on work he has actually done. That includes:
- Real customer jobs
- Before and after examples
- Stains he has treated himself
- Cleaning problems he has come across
- Commercial cleaning work
- Local jobs around Rotherham and nearby towns
- His own photographs
Where it helps, articles include real before and after photos and case studies.
Training and professional standards
Jake has completed:
- Carpet and upholstery cleaning training with Cleanspec
- Cleaning training with Kendry
- Cleaning training with Prochem
- COSHH (safe handling of cleaning chemicals)
Jake carries public liability insurance, including treatment risk insurance. That means the cleaning treatments he uses on your carpets and furniture are covered.
Every carpet, fabric and floor is different, so general advice won't suit every situation. If you're unsure, it's always worth asking before you try something.
How Jake's articles are created
Jake creates articles from his own experience, notes and explanations of real cleaning jobs. Digital tools may be used to help organise, edit and improve spelling and grammar, but Jake checks the finished article before it is published.
